Second Opinion Consultations

The experience of going through fertility treatment can often be overwhelming. No doubt at times it can feel like a roller-coaster of hope and anxiety with each cycle. For many who have gone through multiple cycles (2-3 cycles), you will have many questions about your treatment including wanting to understand why things haven’t quite succeeded yet. You will also want to have a clear understanding of your treatment options moving forward.

At these times a second opinion is helpful to provide you with an opportunity to ask additional questions about your treatment and where to next. A second opinion can be particularly helpful to have open discussion about any concerns you have that you may be a little nervous about putting to your own Doctor. The advice that you receive may or may not be different to any advice you have received before but it is it a very important process to give you information and provide a second opinion about your treatment so that you can make an informed decision about the next steps and perhaps even the opportunity to try something different that may increase your chances of success. This can be a very reassuring process for many couples.
